How often will I come to therapy? And for how long?

Our Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy program is very structured. It is a 24-week commitment consisting of the following services each week:
one Individual Counseling session for the young person, a Skills Group session for the teen and a Skills Group session for parents. The DBT program is for adolescents experiencing intense life problems or who are transitioning from residential care back to home and school. It is a very intensive, effective treatment to keep people out of the hospital, in school and functioning in their daily lives.
For other young adults, how often you come to therapy and for what duration is completely flexible. It depends entirely on your unique needs and preferences. Most clients come once per week until they have met their goals. However, when there is a crisis people might come in twice per week until they are feeling better.
